Phase One: Kiln Drying
The kiln temperature is precisely elevated to gently yet rapidly reduce the wood’s moisture content. This essential step eliminates the primary sources of nourishment for mold, rot, fungal decay, and insects.
Phase Two: Thermal Modification
Using a controlled balance of heat and steam, the wood is transformed at the cellular level. This process strengthens the material, significantly minimizes water absorption, and naturally alters the wood’s sugars, yielding superior durability and a rich, sophisticated darker tone.
Phase Three: Controlled Cooldown
The wood is gradually returned to ambient temperature, achieving an ideal final moisture content of 4–6%. This concluding stage secures outstanding dimensional stability, resulting in a finished product of remarkable strength, beauty, and versatility for a wide array of architectural applications.
